One Draft to 10 Platforms: My AI-Powered Blog Automation Workflow

Writing a blog post is hard enough—but distributing it across 10 platforms shouldn’t be harder. This article presents a four-layer automation workflow that transforms a single draft into platform-optimized content, publishes it everywhere simultaneously, and auto-collects feedback.

Introduction

As an indie developer and content creator, I found that the hardest part of blogging wasn’t writing—it was distributing. Manually publishing across 10 platforms took over an hour and a half per article. I needed a better way.

The Problem

My manual publishing workflow was unsustainable:

Platform Time
WeChat ~15min
Zhihu ~10min
Juejin ~10min
Toutiao ~15min
Weibo ~5min
X/LinkedIn/Facebook/Reddit/Medium ~40min
Total ~1h35m

Plus daily feedback checking took 30-60 minutes.

Four-Layer Architecture

Layer 1: The Draft (Source of Truth)

Layer 2: AI-Powered Content Transformation

Layer 3: One-Click Publishing

Layer 4: Feedback Collection & Reminders

Platform Differences

Platform Language Length Style
WeChat Chinese 1500-3000 chars Professional + warm
Zhihu Chinese 1200-2500 chars Rational, conclusion-first
Weibo Chinese 140-300 chars Sharp, punchy
Toutiao Chinese 1500-3500 chars Pain-point focused
Juejin Chinese 1500-3000 chars Hardcore technical
X English ≤280 chars/tweet Numbered thread
LinkedIn English 300-800 words Formal, professional
Facebook English 200-500 words Casual, personal
Reddit English 500-2000 words Honest, community-focused
Medium English 800-2500 words Polished longform

Results

Metric Manual Automated
Platform Publishing 1h35m 3min
Content Creation 4h 2h
Feedback Management 30-60min/day 5min/day
Total 10h+ 2h15m

Key Design Principles

  1. Single Source of Truth: Draft is everything
  2. Localization > Translation: Each platform gets culturally appropriate content
  3. Separation of Concerns: Content, publishing, and feedback are independent
  4. Human-in-the-Loop: AI generates, humans approve
  5. No Auto-Reply: Feedback is collected but never auto-replied

Conclusion

This automation workflow has transformed my content creation process. I’m able to publish more frequently, maintain consistent quality across all platforms, and engage with my audience more effectively—all while spending less time on distribution and more time on creation.
